PID Values for Common Appliances

These are known good PID values for appliances around my home. Determining what the proper values are started with auto tuning and then rounded off. The intent is long term stability rather than initial ramp up time. These are proven and implemented with a MYPIN TA4 PID Controller.

  • Hamilton Beach, Slow Cooker @ 240 Watts (High)
    • PV – 150°f
    • Kp – 2
    • Ki – 330
    • Kd – 830
  • Hamilton Beach, Slow Cooker @ 180 Watts (Low)
    • PV – 140°f
    • Kp – 4.5
    • Ki – 1000
    • Kd – 250
    • Notes – These are spot on. Used to make Black Garlic.
  • Seedling Heating Matt, Hydrofarm MT10008 20×20 @ 40 Watts (WIP)
    • PV – 75°f
